What Is Patient Moving and Handling Training?

Patient moving and handling training is a practical, half-day course designed to teach safe techniques for assisting people with limited mobility. It is aimed at healthcare staff and carers who are required to support patients in hospitals, nursing homes, or home care environments.

The course meets the requirements of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, helping organisations meet their legal obligations while improving care standards and reducing injury risk.
